Build Notes

The Problem

Desktop design was ported to mobile without mobile-first thinking. Users couldn't compare products easily — they had to screenshot items and manually side-by-side them. 70% of traffic was mobile, but conversion was 2x lower than desktop.

What I Built

  • •Search with smart autocomplete suggestions
  • •Swipeable filter chips (horizontal scroll)
  • •Slide-up comparison drawer (holds 2–3 items)
  • •Persistent "Compare" button that floats as you scroll

Key Decisions

  • ✓Made filters horizontal (swipe, not scroll down)
  • ✓Used bottom sheet for comparison (thumb-friendly)
  • ✓Kept product cards minimal (image + price + 1 key spec)
